Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye recently visited the RCCG ‘Overcomers’ Assembly,’ where they were warmly received by members of the church, including the Pastor-in-charge of RCCG Region 31, Joseph Adeyokunnu, and his wife, Pastor Felicia Adeyokunnu.
In his sermon titled: “Total Perfection,” Adeboye noted that Christians can tap into God’s perfection by simply heeding to God’s words as written in the Bible.
The General Overseer, who said he was visiting the church for the second time in his life said: “Sharing our message of “Total perfection” we will read from the book of James 1, verse 17, which says, ‘Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh from the father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither a shadow of turning.”
Describing God as a perfect Being, Adeboye said: “Our Lord God is perfect. He is a perfect light; no shadow at all in him. He is perfectly good, perfectly kind, perfectly generous, perfectly loving and everything about him is perfect.”
Speaking on the visit, Pastor Adeyokunnu, who doubles as the Intercontinental Financial Controller of RCCG, said he was highly happy to receive Daddy Adeboye and Mummy G.O.
“my joy knows no bounds. It’s like God himself visiting us. Daddy said that he heard from God to come here. That means we have a divine visitation. Nothing more, coming in the seventh month, the month of perfection, and more importantly in the month of my birt; to me it is a birthday gift.”
He added: “Now, the expectations are high. Daddy said, next week we should give people enough time to give testimonies and I can tell you, it will not wait till next week. From the first day of this week, people will be sending their testimonies and I will be the first to testify.”
The church also used the occasion to celebrate the 76th birthday of Pastor Folu Adeboye (Mummy G.O.). She was showered with heart warming messages as she marked another year.
